Oakland Park, Florida – Beautiful Views, Old World Charm

Oakland Park, Florida is a relatively compact city in Broward County, Florida. As of the latest 2020-United States Census, this urban center’s population was 41, 363, mainly because of annexing North Andrews Gardens and Twin Lakes South into the city. This growth has increased its commercial properties and property values. The city now has a modern public library and offers cultural activities for residents and tourists. Oakland Park is also home to the beautiful North Andrews Gardens elementary school. This two-story school with three schools is constructed from brick on its eastern side and has a tower that looks like a great American flag. The middle school, Bay Points Junior High School, is built on a green-filled field with tennis courts on its western side. The third school, Oakland Park High School, is an exceptional facility that provides classes for almost all interests and majors. A lot of recreation is available in and around the park. Visitors can ride the free intercity bus service to at least five parks and beaches in the area. The freeways are clean and safe, but it is still recommended that visitors use their vehicles to get around. Driving south out of the Atlantic ocean turn left onto the toll road just past the Fort Lauderdale Tunnel. Travel across the bridge that crosses the Causeway Water Trail, turn left onto Norwood Beach Road, and continue to the Park Central Park. At North Myrtle Beach, travelers can catch a shuttle bus to the Myrtle Beach International Airport or travel by car or bike.
